INPUT RAW MATERIALS
Our twine is produced from high-quality polypropylene granulate (PP). Polypropylene makes up approximately 97% of the finished product, the remaining percentage concerns additives in form of thermostabilizers, UV stabilizers or paints. From the long-term point of view, its physical, mechanical, hydraulic and resistance characteristics do not change significantly.
MANUFACTURING PROCESS
The feedstock in form of granules is led to the extruder by means of a metering unit. First, the granulate melts in the extruder. The resulting melt proceeds through the extruder towards the extrusion head (to the flat nozzle), the mixture is homogenized along the way. In this bath, the film then crystallizes / solidifies and is fed to the cutting device by means of take-off rollers. Here, the film is cut into equally wide strips under tension. The strips are then drawn into a several-meter-long hot air furnace, where they are drawn into thinner strips under tension according to the required parameters. These tapes are then wound into large rolls. The individual large-windings are then transported to the twisting machines, which twist the twine from the tape to a preset spool size under a set number of turns. The spools wound in this way are then transported to the packaging line, where they are packed in foils with printing according to the needs of customers and then transported to the warehouse where they are waiting for dispatch.
